Dundee United's Gavin Gunning has been unsuccessful in his appeal against a three-match ban.
The Terrors defender had been offered the ban by the Scottish Football Association after footage of an incident against Celtic was reviewed.
It shows Gunning kicking out at Hoops defender Virgil van Dijk and has prompted the SFA to uphold the original sanction after the offending player contested the charge.
A statement from the SFA read: "Compliance Officer Reference upheld and a three-match suspension applied."
