Dummett unsure of Newcastle future as contract winds down

Newcastle United star Paul Dummett is not sure about his future at the club.

The Academy graduate has been back in the first team in recent weeks, as manager Steve Bruce has used a three at the back system.

With the 29-year-old starting the past seven matches, he may be hopeful about a new deal coming his way.

Newcastle do have an option to extend his deal by one year, per Chronicle Live, but have not made a final decision as yet.

Dummett said during a "Zoom Army" session: "Yeah, it certainly would be lovely to play my full career at Newcastle.

"But at the moment, I'm concentrating on keeping Newcastle in the Premier League and trying to finish the season as strongly as we can.

"Those conversations about keeping me in the club will happen at the right time, but at the moment I need to concentrate on playing games and finishing the season as strongly as we can."
