Dummett set for Newcastle return

Newcastle United are set to welcome Paul Dummett back into the team.

The left-back has been out for the past six weeks, but he is set to play in a friendly against CSKA Moscow over the weekend.

Dummett has been dealing with hamstring issues, which meant he has not played since January 2.

Newcastle have arranged the friendly to give some players game time as they integrate the squad, before a final push to stay in the Premier League.

New signing Miguel Almiron will also get a chance to get some minutes under his belt.

Dummett said to NUFC TV: "I am training with the team and feeling really good. I need to build my fitness up and I hope to get some minutes at the weekend.

"I need to bring some competition and play in the Premier League. Hopefully I can do that and help the team as much as I can."
