Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett is set to make a return from injury, according to the Chronicle.

23-year-old Dummett has been struggling with a hamstring problem all summer but as a timely boost for the Magpies, the defender is now on the verge of making a return to full fitness.

Dummett travelled with the squad to London for Monday night's clash with West Ham United and the left-back is now earmarked to make his return during the Capital One Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday next week.
