Dugarry hints at FFP concern over Barcelona De Jong deal

Former Barcelona striker Christophe Dugarry has questioned their swoop for Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

Dugarry rates the player, but the fee rising to €86m has stunned the French pundit.

Hinting at Financial Fair Play concerns, he said, "It's a defeat for PSG. This boy was wanted by the whole of Europe. He has a very interesting style but I do not hide that I ask myself questions when I see Barca buy players for 120-130 million each year with a huge payroll.

"We often bother PSG in these mercatos and we do not see them very active so the constraints are real but I do not see the side of Barça.

"I hope fairness is respected because it shocked me deeply."
