Former Barcelona striker Christophe Dugarry has declared Karim Benzema as France's greatest.
Dugarry insists the Real Madrid striker should be in the France team.
He told L'Equipe: "He is exceptional! Four Champions Leagues, one goal every two matches, eleven years at Real, it's just incredible. I hope he and (France coach Didier) Deschamps will be able to put some water in their wine. But I doubt it!
"They have immense pride, they seem so far from each other, but the France team would need him. He's a computer, Benzema. He understands football. He is brilliant in his game intelligence, he does not lose a ball, he sets the pace for the match, he leads the attack, finishes the actions, right foot, left foot, with a header.
"He's the most complete French striker we've ever had!"
