Draw card Fowler has Asia interested in Nth Qld

The addition of former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler to the North Queensland Fury squad has Asian clubs lining up to play friendlies.

A three-match tour of Malaysia and Singapore has been mooted for June and although the deal has not been finalised, Fury chairman Don Matheson said Fowler's name has helped a lot.

"We all knew Robbie would add a lot of value to the club," he said.

"Over in Asia it would be a very attractive proposition to bring Robbie over.

"Our football department has definitely mapped out a program of between 10-13 games (but) there's nothing we can confirm at the moment."
