Stewart Downing has sung the praises of Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford.

Downing played with Bamford with Middlesbrough.

"He definitely kicked on since going to Leeds. He has improved so, so much since leaving Middlesbrough for Leeds. Getting goals to his game. Link-up play. Holding people off. And he's been a big miss for them," said Downing on Sky Sports.

"I think they have missed him. He has become a better player by not playing."

Bamford is back for Leeds' clash with Leicester.
