Former Liverpool defender Andrea Dossena believes his old team should focus on the Premier League.
The Reds are also among the favourites for the Champions League, but Dossena believes they should commit to the domestic title.
Asked if last season's run to the Champions League final surprised him, Dossena told RMC: "Yes, the leap in quality in the second part of last season was clear.
"Now they are certainly capable of reaching the semi-finals, even if every Liverpool fan, if he could choose, would bet everything on the Premier.
"It's been too many years since the last triumph at home. That said, they will have to fight against a much more consistent Manchester City than Klopp's lineup."
Dossena also revealed he's now taking his coaching badges and is a fan of Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti.
"I thought it was not possible to do the same with a Napoli branded by (Maurizio) Sarri, instead moving Lorenzo Insigne and turning on occasion Fabian Ruiz into a fullback also convinced me on other aspects. I also take notes on him for this."
