Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek has confirmed Real Madrid are in talks to sign him.

Van de Beek's move to Real Madrid is edging ever closer and could be completed in the next few days.

"It is true that Madrid are in talks with Ajax, but I can't say any more," Van de Beek stated.

The 22-year-old scored and provided an assist in a 2-2 draw away to Vitesse, and he acknowledged that his agent has already been in discussions with Madrid.

"My agent will have spoken with them," he said of Madrid's interest.

"Real Madrid is a great club to play for, but Ajax are still a great club. We'll see what happens."
