Donny van de Beek: Man Utd, Real Madrid reports a good sign

Donny van de Beek plans to see out the season with Ajax.

The Dutch international, 22, has been targeted by Manchester United chiefs as they bid to strengthen the club's midfield, with Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay sidelined.

"It is not that I can or want to do something at the moment," Van de Beek declared on Saturday.

"I have said it before and I will say it again: I will remain at Ajax this season. And maybe next season as well.

"These reports about Real Madrid or Manchester United are a good sign, but it is not important now. I've said I will stay at Ajax and I will do so, 100 percent."

Asked about if there were positives in leaving the Eredivisie for Manchester United this month, Van de Beek told Fox Sports Netherlands: "You can look at it like that.

"It is not something that is in my mind right now, but what you say is true."
