Freddie Woodman is determined to become the number one shot-stopper at Newcastle United.

The 23-year-old has a new three year contract, with the option for a year's extension.

Woodman will be with Swansea City for the coming season, having also played for the Championship side this past season.

After signing the deal, Woodman told the club's website: "It's great news for me - I can look towards the future and see myself as a Newcastle player.

"It's great for the club to commit to me and I can stay there another three years, which is huge.

"I see myself as a Newcastle player and my ultimate goal is to be the Newcastle number one, so hopefully I can do that."
