DONE DEAL: West Brom confirm signing of QPR winger Matt Phillips

West Brom have announced the signing of QPR winger Matt Phillips.

He moves to the Hawthorns for £5.5 million.

Phillips, 25, has since signed a four-year deal to become the Baggies first signing of the summer, having completed a medical, and will join his new team mates on a pre-season training camp in Austria.

West Brom boss Tony Pulis said: "We're really pleased to have Matty on board. This is a great chance for him to show everyone he belongs in the top-flight of English football."

Phillips featured in 44 Sky Bet Championship games for the R's last season, scoring eight goals, but he was left out of the club's pre-season tour to the Netherlands.

Phillips joined QPR from Blackpool in the summer of 2013 after spending three years at Bloomfield Road. Rangers said: "The club would like to thank Matt for his services and wish him all the best for the future."

Despite representing England at youth level, Phillips has made four international appearances for Scotland after qualifying to play for the Tartan Army through his Scottish grandparents.
