Villarreal midfielder Ivan Martin has joined Girona on-loan to the end of the season.

Villarreal and Alavés have reached an agreement to cancel his current loan and the player has joined the Catalan side

Martín spent the first half of the 2021/22 season on loan at Deportivo Alavés. After rescinding the loan contract with the Basque side, Martín will feature for the Catalan outfit until 30th June.

The loan deal agreed with Girona does not include a purchase option.

The midfielder signed a contract extension with Villarreal last summer until 30th June 2025.
