Villarreal have clinched the signing of Reims star Boulaye Dia.

The Yellow Submarine announce a permanent deal for Dia on Tuesday evening:

Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Stade Reims for the transfer of French-Senegalese striker Boulaye Dia, who will play for the Yellows for the next five seasons. Dia will train with his new team-mates for the first time at 10am on Wednesday morning, under the watch of head coach Unai Emery at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva).

"Aged 24, Dia is one of the sensations of the French top flight, having scored 16 goals last season, and showing himself as a quick, powerful and skilful striker with the ball at his feet.

"Boulaye Dia (16/11/1996, Oyonnax) played a total of 88 official matches for Stade Reims in three seasons, scoring 28 goals, with his goalscoring prowess peaking last campaign, with 16 strikes.

"His speed and acceleration when facing his opponents make him a very dangerous weapon in attack.
