Marvin Zeegelaar has left Watford after securing a permanent transfer to Udinese.

The Dutch left-back, 29, featured 13 times after joining the Hornets in 2017, and returns to Italy having spent the second half of last season on loan with the Serie A side.

The completion of the move was confirmed by the Hornets this afternoon.

The Dutch defender arrived at Vicarage Road in 2017 from Sporting Lisbon, but has since struggled to hold down a first-team place, featuring just 13 times.

He continued that trend this season when he remained completely unused by all three of the Hornets' head coaches.
