Tottenham have reached an agreement with Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F over the transfer of Mousa Dembele.

The 31-year-old has been sidelined with ankle injury since November.

Spurs decided to offload this month as he would have been able to leave from free at the end of the season.

The north London club had also accepted an offer from Beijing Sinobo, but the Belgian international decided to sign with Guangzhou.

In a brief statement confirming Dembele's departure, Tottenham said: "We wish Mousa all the best for the future."
