DONE DEAL: Sheffield Utd snap up Wolves midfielder Gibbs-White

Wolves star Morgan Gibbs-White has signed a loan deal with Sheffield United.

The 21-year-old defender penned a contract extension with the Premier League club to 2024, before securing a season-long loan at the Blades.

Gibbs-White managed three appearances for Wolves this term, but may have found regular football difficult to obtain when every player is fit.

The loan agreement does stipulate that Wolves can recall him in January.

Wolves technical director Scott Sellars said in a statement: "Morgan's still a young player, with a big future. We've extended his contract because we want him to stay, we see him having a long-term future at Wolves, but at the moment we feel a loan move is the best option for him.

"This is a great move for Morgan's development. He's not had too many minutes in recent years, so this is an opportunity to play every week and grow as a player in the Championship, at a good club.

"He proved in the games he had at Swansea last year that he has quality. In the games I saw, and the data proved that he was going to be a top player in the Championship, before getting the injury, so we think this move can really benefit Morgan again."
