Schalke have completed the signing of Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

The French youngster arrives on an initial six-month loan with an option to sign permanently.

Schalke are paying €1.5m for the loan and he can be bought outright for €25m - with another €5m potentially due in bonuses.

Barca retain a buy-back option for €50m, which can be raised to €60m dependent on Todibo's success.

The defender joined Barca a year ago from Toulouse, but managed just five appearances.
