Salvatore Sirigu is happy moving to Fiorentina.
The veteran goalkeeper arrives in a free transfer from Napoli.
“It was an opportunity that arose during the transfer window, I thought about it, but then I realised it was a good opportunity," Sirigu told Fiorentina's official website.
“It was not easy to leave Napoli in that condition, but this football and Fiorentina are a first-tier club, so I have enthusiasm, which is what a player of my age needs. Everyone is happy like this.
“It may seem difficult from the outside, but things do not only depend on one person," he continued.
“I will miss my teammates with whom I had a strong bond. But this is football and one has to look ahead. I've always been part of important teams and I hope the same happens at Fiorentina."
