Reinier Jesus is thrilled with his move to Real Madrid.

The departing Flamengo attacker's transfer was confirmed this morning. Real are paying €30m in total for the 18 year-old, with 80 per cent going to the club and the remaining 20 per cent being shared by the agents and family (€3m each).

Reinier, having passed his medical, has signed a Real contract to 2026.

He declared, "The dream of any child is to play for a giant like Madrid. When I visited the Bernabéu I did not imagine that so many things would happen in my life and that I would have the opportunity to make my dream come true.

"I was at the Club World Cup when I began to find out what was happening. My family and my agent went to visit the hotel and told me. I was surprised and I was very happy at the same time.

"Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world and has always had great squads. Since I was a child my father always encouraged me to watch Real's matches. I am a Real Madrid fan since the Galacticos, when I was still very young, and even this generation of the four Champions Leagues."
