DONE DEAL: Rafael leaves Man Utd for Lyon

Rafael Da Silva has departed Manchester United to join Olympique Lyonnais.

The 25-year-old Brazilian full-back has signed a four-year deal with the French club for a reported fee of £2.5million.

Rafael joined United from Fluminense in 2008 and went on to make 96 appearances for the Red Devils.

A statement on Lyon's official website read: "Olympique Lyonnais informs of an agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of Brazilian international Rafael Da Silva, who will sign in the coming days a four-year contract with OL, ie until June 30, 2019."

United posted a Tweet wishing Rafael all the best at his new club.
