PSG striker Edinson Cavani is on his way to Atletico Madrid next month.

That's according to Sky Italia, which are reporting Cavani has agreed terms over a three-year deal with Atletico.

The Uruguay international's contract expires in June and it's now being discussed when he will move to Madrid.

Atletico would be willing to cough up a nominal fee now to take Cavani in January, though are prepared to wait until June to sign him on a Bosman.

In Paris, Cavani has seen his influence watered down this season after the arrival of Mauro Icardi on-loan from Inter Milan.
