Newcastle United have the green light to confirm their takeover, according to reports.

The Amanda Staveley-led consortium has satisfied the Premier League's fit and proper standard.

And The Sun claims the deal is all but done to bring Saudi money to the club.

There are no barriers to the takeover and Staveley expects to be given the all clear by next week.

The club will get the paperwork sorted and an announcement could be made on the week of June 1st.

It is a move that would bring significant funding to the Magpies, and possibly a change of manager as well.

Boss Steve Bruce is in the dark about whether he still has a job when the takeover is complete.
