Norwich City have snapped up Motherwell teen Reece McAlear.
The Premier League new boys confirmed the deal on Friday and the midfielder will join up with Paul Williams' Under-18s side for the upcoming season.
Scotland youth international McAlear was highly-rated at Motherwell and featured in a number of pre-season friendlies this summer.
The Steelmen offered the 17-year-old an extended deal in a bid to fend off the advances of Norwich .
But the lure of the Premier League was too strong and McAlear is now preparing for life with the Canaries after a fee, reported to be around £250,000 with add-ons, was agreed, says the Daily Record.
