DONE DEAL: Norwich land Klose from Wolfsburg

Norwich City have completed the signing of Timm Klose.

The Swiss defender has joined the Canaries from VfL Wolfsburg on a three-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £8.5million.

Klose arrives at Carrow Road having spent the past two-and-a-half years at Wolfsburg following his move from Nuremberg in 2013.

Former FC Basel and FC Thun defender Klose admitted it has always been a target of his to play in England's top flight.

"It was always a dream to play in the Premier League and Norwich have given me a big chance," he told the club's official website.

"Now I want to give everything I can to be a good player in this league.

"When I came here and saw the training ground, the stadium, and everything - it was fantastic."

The signing of the 12-time Switzerland international has been well-received by Norwich boss Alex Neil who feels the towering centre-back will assists his side greatly.

"Timm has got plenty of experience, having played in the Bundesliga, in the Champions League, and for his country, which will be an asset to us," said the manager.

"As a player, he has got good technical ability and he's solid in the air. He can also play at either right centre-back or left centre-back.

"We're delighted to have completed this deal and to have added Timm to our squad."
