Norwich City fullback Philip Heise has completed a loan switch to German side FC Nurnberg.

Left-back Heise will spend the remainder of the 2019-20 season with the Bavaria club, who currently sit in 16th position in 2. Bundesliga.

The loan deal will include any potential play-off games at the end of the 2. Bundesliga season.

Heise, 28, has made one senior appearance for City since signing on from Dynamo Dresden in January 2019.

The 28-year-old full-back said: “I'm really looking forward to the exciting job in Nuremberg.

“The situation is certainly not easy, but we now have a preparation in which we will lay the foundation for a successful rest of the season."
