Liverpool have signed Nigerian youngster Taiwo Awoniyi.
The 18-year-old forward has joined the Reds from the Imperial Academy in Nigeria and will immediately head out on loan to 2.Bundesliga side FSV Frankfurt.
Awoniyi, who cost around £400,000, admitted it was great thrill to be signed by the Reds and is now looking to develop his game in Germany before repaying the faith shown in him by the Anfield giants.
“This is the biggest club in the world and I'm privileged to be here," he told the club's official website.
“I'll try to develop myself very well so that when I come back to Liverpool I'll be able to add value to the team.
“When I'm in the red shirt, I will always give my very best to make the fans happy."
