Middlesbrough have completed a loan deal that will see Sam McQueen join the club from Southampton for the entire season.

The left back, who can also play in other positions, has made 20 starts in the Premier League in his career.

He will now have the chance to get first team football, while helping Middlesbrough in the Championship.

McQueen will have the no.14 shirt at Riverside. He can also play on the left wing, with his versatility a bonus for Boro.

They will be hoping the 23-year-old can add some Premier League quality to their side.
