Manchester United manager Facundo Pellistri has joined Alaves on a season-long loan, the club have confirmed.

The 19-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for United, having joined them from Uruguayan side Penarol in October for £9m.

Pellistri, who has impressed with the club's U23s, has a five-year contract with United, with the option to extend for a further year.

He will now get a chance to gain first-team experience in La Liga before returning to Old Trafford this summer.
