Manchester United have clinched an agreement for Sochaux defender Willy Kambwala.
The Daily Mail says United will pay £3m in compensation for 16-year-old Sochaux defender Kambwala.
Kambwala has also attracted interest from several of Europe's top clubs, including rivals Liverpool.
United were linked with the youngster earlier in the transfer window but after turning 16 he is now old enough to sign a professional contract.
Kambwala plays in the centre of defence but can also fill in at full back and central midfield.
He was born in DR Congo but has captained France's Under 17 team.
Such is the talent of defender, Sochaux were desperate to hold on to their academy star and even rejected United's opening bid of £1m when he was just 15.
