Manchester United are on the brink of their first signing of the summer market.

Sport says United are set to sign Espanyol starlet Arnau Puigmal.

The midfielder, born in 2001, is currently part of Espanyol's youth team.

United chiefs plan to strengthen their academy after witnessing local rivals Manchester City enjoy success at youth level.

They are targeting the Spanish market and their ambition has reportedly attracted Puigmal.
