DONE DEAL: Man City keeper Trafford explains why he re-joined Bolton

Manchester City shot-stopper James Trafford has explained his decision to stay with Bolton for another season.

The youngster impressed during the second half of last term with the Whites in League One.

Now he is rejoining Ian Evatt's team for a full season, as they push to gain promotion to the Championship.

"It is the right place. I loved every minute from January onwards and I have such a good relationship with the staff and just everyone at Bolton," he told the club's YouTube channel.

"Once I got the internationals out the way, it was a no-brainer to come back.

"How the gaffer wants us to play and the whole set-up really just suits everyone – it's the best for my development.

"The scenario will be different to last season where I came in and didn't really have much time to develop and try new things. Every game was sort of like a cup final that we had to win.

"But this season we can really give the gaffer's playing style a good go. And playing with more pressure and more fans, it will be really good."
