Chelsea midfielder Lucas Piazon has joined Rio Ave on a two-year loan deal.
Before departing Piazon signed a two-year extension with the Blues.
The club confirmed: "Lucas Piazon has joined Portuguese club Rio Ave on loan until the end of next season having signed a one-year extension to his Chelsea contract."
Piazon joined Chelsea in 2011 and has previously enjoyed loan spells at Malaga, Vitesse Arnhem, Eintracht Frankfurt, Reading and Fulham.
