Former Chelsea striker Loic Remy has signed with Serie A new-boys Benevento.
Remy joins Benevento on a free transfer and will play for former AC Milan coach Pippo Inzaghi.
“It's the best choice for me and we'll see what happens, I have to do the medical, see the staff and then we'll see everyone," Remy told Sky Sport Italia at the airport.
He'll be a free agent after his contract with Lille ran down and is expected to sign a three-year deal.
Remy revealed he asked former Benevento player Sagna for some advice, as he played here from February to August 2018.
“I spoke to Sagna to get some information on the city, the club and the atmosphere. He gave me some good feedback, I am really happy to be here and can't wait to discover this new country, this new challenge."
