DONE DEAL: Juventus splash out €60M to land Fiorentina attacker Chiesa

Juventus have clinched the signing of Fiorentina attacker Federico Chiesa on deadline day.

Chiesa joins Juve on an initial two season-long loan.

Juve announced last night:

"Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement with ACF Fiorentina for the acquisition, on a temporary basis until 30 June 2022, of the right to the sporting performance of the footballer Federico Chiesa in comparison with a consideration of 10 million euros, of which 3 million euros for the 2020/2021 sports season and 7 million euros over the 2021/2022 sports season. In addition, the agreement includes:

"The obligation of Juventus to acquire the player's sporting performance outright when achieving certain sporting goals during the 2021/2022 season;

"The ability of Juventus to acquire the player's sporting performance outright if those goals are not achieved.

"The agreed fee for the final acquisition, in both cases, is equal to 40 million euros, payable in three years, and may be increased, during the duration of the sports performance contract with the player, to an amount of no more than 10 million euros to the achievement of further objectives."
