DONE DEAL: Jack Stacey 'very happy' to make Bournemouth move

Bournemouth have signed Luton Town defender Jack Stacey.

He goes to Dean Court for £4m on a four-year deal.

The 23-year-old was a key figure in the Hatters' successive promotions to the Championship and was named the club's young player of the year last season.

Scottish champions Celtic were linked with him before he joined Bournemouth.

"I'm very happy to be here," Stacey told afcbTV. "There were a few clubs interested but Bournemouth was always the one I saw myself at."

Stacey is Cherries boss Eddie Howe's second summer signing, after the £13m arrival of Lloyd Kelly from Bristol City.

The former Reading player is confident he can make an immediate impact in the top division of English football.

"This is a great club with a fantastic manager who helps establish young players, so that made it an easy decision in the end," said Stacey.

"I believe I can thrive here and I can't wait to get started."
