Hull City have snapped up Everton defender Matthew Pennington.

Hull have signed Pennington on a season-long loan deal.

The 24-year-old centre back joins from Everton and already has plenty of Championship experience having spent the last two seasons on loan with Leeds United and Ipswich Town respectively.

Speaking after joining the Tigers, Pennington said: “I'm really pleased to be here and I'm feeling fit and ready to go.

“As soon as I became aware of the interest in me from Hull City I was straight onto it. I was looking to get back out on loan and was ready to come back into the Championship so I'm looking forward to the season ahead."
