Getafe have completed the signing of Real Madrid winger Takefusa Kubo.

Kubo found first team minutes hard to come by under Unai Emery at Villarreal and pushed for an early exit from his two-year loan agreement with the Yellow Submarine.

Kubo featured 19 times for Villarreal, but played just 687 minutes - 36 minutes per game on average - with just two starts in LaLiga Santander and five in the Europa League. His only goal came in Europe against Turkish outfit Sivasspor.

Los Blancos welcomed the idea of a move for Kubo as they believe he will get more playing time at Getafe.

Kubo becomes Getafe's first signing of the winter window, although Carles Alena looks set to join from Barcelona on loan as well.
