Genoa have signed Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Nadiem Amiri.

Amiri joins on-loan with the option to buy.

Kicker says the deal is worth €9m if Genoa avoid relegation into Serie B.

“I've known this player for a long time, he has great character and hard work that enabled him to wear the jersey of Germany," said Genoa general manager Johannes Spors.

“He will reinforce our midfield with his quality."
