DONE DEAL? Forest trigger option for Newcastle striker Wood

Nottingham Forest have moved to make Chris Wood's loan transfer permanent.

The newly promoted Premier League club appear to be in a rush to secure Wood's services.

The tall striker is on loan from Newcastle United until the end of the season.

However, Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano states that Forest have already paid the fee to make Wood a permanent signing.

They have forked over £15 million to sign the veteran New Zealand international.

The 31-year-old has only played three times for Forest, and has not even scored a goal as yet.
