DONE DEAL: Ex-Swansea goalkeeper Birighitti joins Melbourne City

Mark Birighitti has signed a three-year deal with Melbourne City.

The 27-year-old left Newcastle Jets for Swansea City in 2016. However, he was restricted to youth team appearances and joined Dutch club NAC Breda a year later.

"It was a great experience, moving from Australia to the Premier League was a massive jump," Birighitti said.

"I took so much from being at such a fantastic club like Swansea.

"I'm pleased to be returning to Australia and to join a club with genuine title aspirations and a group with talent like Melbourne City is very exciting.

"I've worked hard over the past couple of seasons and learnt a lot which I hope to put that to good use this season and challenge for a regular place in the team."
