Everton have signed Lyngby teen Sebastian Kristensen.

The 16-year-old defender is said to have completed a trial at Finch Farm after coming through the ranks in Denmark.

“Everton has followed Sebastian closely, had him on trial and has shown the format and willingness to get things going," Lyngby sports chief Birger Jorgensen said.

“The family and Sebastian have also been thorough, so even though it is a big step, it is well considered.

"We cry with one eye sending players away as early as possible, but at the same time we see it as a good opportunity and something we would like to support our talents in - in the cases where it makes sense for all parties."
