Derby County have completed the signing of Ben Hamer on loan.

The 31-year-old arrives from Huddersfield Town on the last day of the Championship transfer window.

Hamer will spend the entire season at Derby, where he will replace the departing Scott Carson.

Hamer has over 300 career games under his belt.

Commenting on the arrival, Derby boss Phillip Cocu told the club's official website: "It is important to have strength in depth across all positions and Ben Hamer provides more competition in our goalkeeping department.

"I am sure Ben will fit into the group we have and be another important member of the squad."
