Crystal Palace have signed Jonathan Benteke - the younger brother of star striker Christian Benteke.

The Belgian forward has agreed a one-year deal - though the club haven't officially announced his arrival, says the Daily Star.

Zulte Waregem, who play in Belgium's Jupiler Pro League, informed Jonathan that he had no future with the club.

However, they still wanted to recoup the £85,000 they'd invested in him which forced Jonathan to terminate his contract to became a free agent.

Palace were told by scouts in Belgium that the 21-year-old wasn't good enough for the Premier League or Championship in England but have secured his services to help Benteke settle, reports The Times.
