DONE DEAL: Crystal Palace complete signing of former Tottenham striker Adebayor

Emmanuel Adebayor has signed with Crystal Palace.

The 31-year-old Togolese striker has penned a short-term deal with the Eagles which will see him remain at Selhurst Park for the remainder of the season.

Adebayor has been without a club since he left Tottenham last September but will now suit up with Palace after completing his medical with the South London club on Tuesday.

Regarding his move to Palace, Adebayor told the club's official website: “Personally I have nothing to achieve to be honest with you.

“I wanna go for the team and what they want to achieve. I will follow them.

“I will hep them win games. They are a couple of points from the top five. I know it is going to be very difficult, they have a lot of big games to play."

“Let's get out there, have fun on the pitch and enjoy ourselves.

“Everyone who knows Adebayor in a good moment says he is always laughing. Let me laugh, let me enjoy myself and hopefully I can bring that into the dressing room and the team will follow and we get where want to get to."

The Palace is the seventh professional club Adebayor has played for following previous stints at Metz, Monaco, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and of course Spurs.
