Chelsea full-back Wallace has joined Italian club Carpi FC on loan.

The 21-year-old Brazilian has signed with the Serie A new boys on a season-long deal after spending last term with Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem.

Wallace joined the Blues from Fluminense in December 2012 but is yet to feature for the west London club's first team, having also spent time on loan with Inter Milan.

Carpi, won the Serie B title last season, have the option to buy Wallace permanently at the end of the 12-month spell.
