Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker will spend the 2020/21 season on loan with Turkish club Trabzonspor.

At his latest loan club he will again work under ex-Chelsea midfielder Eddie Newton, who spent many years in various coaching roles with the Blues men's first team, Academy and loan players.

Newton was appointed permanent Trabzonspor manager last month after leading them to victory in the Turkish Cup and a second-place finish in the league as caretaker boss.

It will be a fourth season abroad for Baker, who spent two years in the Netherlands with Vitesse Arnhem and made nine appearances for Fortuna Dusseldorf in the German top flight last term.

The two-footed midfielder has been with Chelsea since Under-10s level and frequently captained our youth side, reaching the finals of the FA Youth Cup and the NextGen Series.
