DONE DEAL: Chelsea defender Levi Colwill pens new contract; agrees Huddersfield move

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill will join Huddersfield Town next season on-loan having signed a new four-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

The 18-year-old, who has been at Chelsea since Under-9s, is a central defender who can play in wider positions on the left and was a mainstay of our development squad's campaign in 2020/21.

He was the third-highest appearance maker at that level with 21 appearances, three of them against senior opposition in the EFL Trophy. Still eligible for the youth team, Colwill played four games for the Under-18s, and is also an England Under-17 international.

Huddersfield, who finished 20th in the Championship last season, are managed by former Leeds coach Carlos Corberan.
