Vitesse Arnhem have completed the signing of Chelsea defender Jake Clarke-Salter.

The stopper joins Vitesse on a season-long loan.

Clarke-Salter said: "I have heard good stories from different guys about Vitesse, including from Lewis Baker and Izzy Brown. Also the progress that Matt Miazga has made makes me very curious about my chances at Vitesse."

Technical director Marc van Hintum also has high expectations.

"Jake is a strong and athletic defender. Qualities that we could use with the departure of Guram Kashia and Matt Miazga. Jake is enormously driven and wants to prove himself in the Eredivisie."
